Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to join our team at the Canadian Red Cross. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving clients' calls, performing the complete cycle of intake for Community Health and Wellness programs, and updating the Client Information Management System (CIMS Database) to reflect all changes related to client profiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process client intake requests, ensuring accurate and timely completion of the intake process.
  • Update client information in the CIMS Database, ensuring all changes are reflected accurately and efficiently.
  • Assign routes for MOW clients to optimize volunteer driver schedules.
  • Schedule transportation requests for various areas in advance, making adjustments as needed to ensure efficient ride allocation.
  • Collect medical and financial information from clients, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Operate mobile and radio dispatch devices to communicate with drivers, ensuring seamless coordination of services.
  • Attend virtual and off-site meetings to gather updates and provide feedback to team members and management.
  • Input, create, and generate clients' requests for hot meals in the CIMS database.
  • Schedule and coordinate delivery of MOW services between clients and delivery drivers.
  • Enter all collected information on eligibility forms and into the CIMS database.
  • Control and revise scheduled rides to increase vehicle and driver efficiency, scheduling as many rides as possible according to client-provided time and location.

Requirements:

  • Minimum one to two years of post-secondary education and one to three years of job-related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Working knowledge of Scheduling Systems/Databases.
  • Customer Service experience is an asset.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow.
  • Experience in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

  • The majority of the work is performed in a clean and comfortable environment at the branch location in Barrie, ON.
