Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team at The Cupcake Lounge. As a key member of our pastry department, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of our baked goods, managing a team of pastry chefs, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development: Create new and innovative pastry recipes, and oversee the production of our baked goods.
  • Team Management: Supervise and manage a team of pastry chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure that they meet their performance goals.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of ingredients and supplies, and ensure that we have the necessary stock to meet customer demand.
  • Maintenance of Equipment: Maintain and clean the equipment and utensils used in the pastry department.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that the pastry department is maintained in a clean and safe environment, and that all employees follow proper health and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a bakery or pastry department.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Setting: Bakery.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads.
  • Personal Suitability: Reliability, Team player.
