Director Of National Sales

Our client, a prominent Licensed Producer in the cannabis sector, is recognized for its exceptional product quality and innovative branding that consistently leads the market. White Ash Group is seeking a Director of National Sales, a crucial position tasked with spearheading sales expansion, managing significant accounts, and guiding a talented sales team. The ideal candidate will work closely with executive leadership to implement strategic initiatives that drive the company's ongoing success in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management:
    Build, nurture, and sustain robust relationships with key retailers and distributors nationwide, particularly focusing on strategic markets.
  2. Sales Team Leadership:
    Recruit, oversee, mentor, and inspire a team of sales professionals, ensuring they achieve or surpass sales goals. Cultivate a high-performance culture that emphasizes accountability and continuous improvement.
  3. Strategic Account Development:
    Formulate and execute key account strategies that enhance client outcomes, seize market opportunities, and increase market share. Identify and leverage distribution channels to maximize sales volume through strategic alliances and superior service.
  4. Performance Oversight:
    Utilize sales analytics and CRM systems to track and enhance team performance, making informed decisions to optimize results. Set and manage sales key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets, regularly assessing progress and adjusting strategies as necessary.
  5. Financial Oversight:
    Effectively manage the sales budget, ensuring expense control while maximizing return on investment. Provide budget performance reports and recommendations for adjustments to senior management.
  6. Market Growth & Lead Acquisition:
    Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, including sponsorships, to broaden the company's market footprint. Participate in industry events and conferences to network, promote the brand, and stay updated on market trends.
  7. Sales Reporting & Insights:
    Develop and maintain a sales route plan to enhance efficiency across assigned territories. Create and share monthly sales activity reports with senior management, offering insights and recommendations based on performance metrics. Present findings to executive leadership.
  8. KPI Management:
    Key performance indicators include monthly sales metrics, adherence to reporting schedules, and achievement of sales objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. Experience:
    A minimum of 5+ years in sales leadership, with a proven record of success in the cannabis industry. Demonstrated capability in managing key accounts and leading high-performing sales teams.
  2. Skills:
    Outstanding relationship management abilities, with a talent for building and maintaining strong connections with team members and clients. Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in CRM systems and sales performance management tools.
  3. Other Requirements:
    A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as necessary to engage with clients and support the sales team. Strong leadership skills focused on team development and performance enhancement.
