White Ash Group is seeking a skilled Director of National Sales, a crucial position tasked with driving revenue growth, managing significant accounts, and leading a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate will work closely with executive leadership to implement strategic initiatives and ensure the company's sustained success in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management:
Build, nurture, and sustain robust relationships with major retailers and distributors nationwide, particularly focusing on strategic markets. - Sales Team Management:
Recruit, oversee, mentor, and guide a team of sales professionals, ensuring they achieve or surpass sales objectives. Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and ongoing development within the sales force. - Strategic Account Development:
Formulate and execute strategies for key accounts that improve client outcomes, seize market opportunities, and enhance market share. Identify and leverage distribution opportunities to boost sales volume through strategic alliances and superior service. - Performance Oversight:
Utilize sales analytics and CRM systems to track and enhance team performance, making informed decisions to optimize outcomes. Set and manage sales key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets for the team, regularly assessing progress and adjusting tactics as necessary. - Financial Oversight:
Effectively oversee the sales budget, ensuring expenses are managed while maximizing returns. Provide performance reports and recommendations for adjustments to senior management. - Market Development & Lead Acquisition:
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, including sponsorships, to broaden the company's market footprint. Participate in industry events and conferences to network, promote the brand, and stay updated on market dynamics. - Sales Analysis & Reporting:
Create and manage a sales route plan to enhance efficiency across the team's territories. Prepare and share monthly sales activity reports with senior management, offering insights and recommendations based on performance data. Present findings to executive leadership. - KPI Tracking:
Monitor KPIs such as monthly sales figures, distribution metrics, adherence to reporting schedules, and achievement of sales goals.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience:
A minimum of 5 years in sales leadership, with a proven history of success in the cannabis industry. Demonstrated expertise in managing key accounts and leading high-achieving sales teams. - Skills:
Outstanding relationship management abilities, capable of fostering strong connections with team members and clients. Excellent organizational skills, adept at juggling multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment. Proficient in CRM systems and sales performance management tools. - Additional Requirements:
A valid driver's license and the willingness to travel as necessary to engage with clients and support the sales team. Strong leadership skills, focused on team development and performance enhancement.
