Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management:
    Build, nurture, and sustain robust relationships with major retailers and distributors nationwide, particularly focusing on strategic markets.
  2. Sales Team Management:
    Recruit, oversee, mentor, and guide a team of sales professionals, ensuring they achieve or surpass sales goals. Cultivate a culture of excellence, accountability, and ongoing development within the sales team.
  3. Strategic Account Development:
    Formulate and execute key account strategies that enhance client outcomes, seize market opportunities, and increase market share. Identify and leverage distribution opportunities to maximize sales volume through strategic alliances, enhanced product visibility, and superior service.
  4. Performance Oversight:
    Utilize sales analytics and CRM systems to track and enhance team performance, making informed decisions to optimize results. Establish and manage sales performance indicators and targets for the team, regularly assessing progress and adjusting strategies as necessary.
  5. Financial Oversight:
    Effectively manage the sales budget, ensuring expenses are controlled while maximizing return on investment. Provide insights on budget performance and suggest adjustments to senior management.
  6. Market Growth & Lead Acquisition:
    Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, including sponsorship prospects, to broaden the company's market footprint. Participate in industry events and conferences to network, promote the brand, and stay updated on market trends.
  7. Sales Analysis & Reporting:
    Develop and oversee a sales route plan to enhance efficiency across the team's designated territories. Generate and share monthly sales activity reports with senior management, offering insights and recommendations based on performance metrics. Present findings to executive leadership.
  8. KPI Monitoring:
    Key performance indicators include monthly sales and distribution metrics, adherence to sales activity reporting schedules, and achievement of sales objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. Experience:
    A minimum of 5+ years in sales leadership, with a proven history of success in the cannabis industry. Demonstrated capability in managing key accounts and leading high-performing sales teams.
  2. Skills:
    Outstanding relationship management abilities, with a talent for building and maintaining strong connections with both team members and clients. Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in CRM systems and sales performance management tools.
  3. Additional Requirements:
    A valid driver's license and the willingness to travel as necessary to engage with clients and support the sales team. Strong leadership qualities, with an emphasis on team development and performance enhancement.
