Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to our clients across North America, Europe, and occasionally Asia and the Middle East. Your primary duties will include:

  • Installing camera-based inspection equipment at customers' sites
  • Conducting onsite client demonstrations
  • Training end-users in the use of our systems
  • Working with our sales team to provide demonstrations of equipment to new prospective customers
  • Providing time-sensitive client support, on-site, by phone, and via email
  • Performing troubleshooting and repairs of returned Xiris customer equipment
  • Identifying common parts failures and customer feature requests, to be submitted to the Engineering team for review and implementation
  • Ensuring that all related training documentation is kept up-to-date to reflect the evolution of our products and custom software
  • Assisting with administrative needs such as testing, cataloguing, and assigning demonstration equipment to Sales staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A post-secondary technical education in Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field
  • Previous technical field experience in a technical support role is an asset
  • Excellent reading comprehension skills for electrical/electronic schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Expertise with setting up and configuring MS Windows, PC software, operating systems, and hardware
  • Professional presentation and excellent English communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude for component assembly and in-factory demonstrations
  • Outstanding customer service orientation
