About the Role

This senior executive position is responsible for leading the financial, communications, and business services functions of the Government of Canada - Western. The successful candidate will be responsible for allocating resources, establishing objectives, and formulating policies and programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives
  • Lead the development and implementation of communications plans to promote the organization's brand and reputation
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for business services, including human resources, procurement, and facilities management
  • Represent the organization in negotiations and other official functions, and delegate representatives as needed
  • Select and develop senior staff, and create optimum working conditions
  • Establish and maintain financial and administrative controls, and approve promotional campaigns and human resources planning

Supervision and Leadership

  • Supervise a team of more than 20 people, providing guidance and direction to ensure the successful delivery of programs and services

Work Environment and Requirements

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a large workload
  • Requires excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
