About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at 1456056 BC LTD. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the pastry department and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and mentor a team of pastry chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless execution of pastry operations.
    • Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Collaborate with the culinary team to design and implement menus that meet the highest quality and presentation standards.
    • Source and procure high-quality ingredients and supplies to support menu execution.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure consistency and excellence in pastry products.
    • Implement corrective actions to address any quality issues or concerns.
  • Operational Efficiency
    • Optimize pastry production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Develop and implement effective inventory management systems to minimize stock levels and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a senior pastry role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven track record of success in a senior pastry role, with a focus on leadership, menu planning, and quality control.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment
    • 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
