About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Nori Japanese Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading the culinary operations and ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that showcase our restaurant's unique Japanese cuisine, while ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and kitchen assistants, to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
Requirements
  • Cook Trade Certification: Possess a valid Cook Trade Certification or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a Japanese restaurant.
  • Language: Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
