About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Bell's Lake-Vu Motel & Services Inc. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our guests.
    • Plan and execute menu items, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management
    • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
    • Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Food Safety and Quality
    • Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a safe and sanitary environment.
    • Implement and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing food and supplies.
    • Monitor and control kitchen expenses, including food costs, labor costs, and other expenses.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, including responding to their needs and concerns.
    • Ensure that all guests receive a positive dining experience.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent culinary skills, including cooking, presentation, and menu planning.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
    • Stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
