Salary: Up to 75,000K yearly

Our client, a well-established leader in their sector, is looking for a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to become a vital part of their team in Surrey, BC. With over 70 years of experience, this company operates extensively across BC and the US. This position plays a key role in ensuring precise and timely payroll processing, benefits management, and adherence to all relevant regulations for their non-union workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator, you will oversee the complete payroll cycle and benefits administration for up to 300 employees.
  1. Execute bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
  2. Manage the ADP system, including updates for new hires, deductions, benefits, terminations, rate changes, and all payroll-related modifications.
  3. Review and confirm individual timecards for accuracy, addressing discrepancies with supervisors.
  4. Assist employees in understanding benefits, pay statements, and resetting passwords.
  5. Complete forms and provide support to employees and supervisors as needed.
  6. Process retroactive payments and other payroll adjustments.
  7. Prepare and issue Records of Employment (ROE).
  8. Handle year-end processing and reconcile T4 slips and/or T4A slips.
  9. Accurately process and reconcile annual vacation payouts.
  10. Prepare and issue employment verification letters.
  11. Complete WorkSafeBC wage-loss documentation.
  12. Administer remittance for CRA, garnishees, etc.

Qualifications:
  1. Proficient in ADP Workforce Now.
  2. Experience in full-cycle payroll.
  3. Knowledge of benefits administration.
  4. Familiarity with payroll best practices and legislative requirements, including the B.C. Employment Standards Act.
  5. Canadian Payroll Association certification / Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or relevant experience.
  6. Reliable transportation is essential.
