About the Role

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Administrative Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all levels of the organization, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of payroll-related inquiries.
  • Maintain various reporting requirements, including data verifications and entry for union payroll, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support the month and period-end close process to ensure accurate financial documents and timely completion of financial reporting.
  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships to support key critical initiatives and drive business growth.
  • Continuously recommend and implement operational improvement initiatives to increase effectiveness and productivity of the department.
  • Assist with ad-hoc and cross-functional projects and initiatives as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commit to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging, fostering a culture of respect and empathy.
  • Coordinate the DCs Accounts Payable process, ensuring timely vendor payments and maintaining accurate records.
  • Be an active participant in event planning and coordination with the DC Team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
  • Flexibility to work Sunday - Thursday, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in payroll data entry and Accounts Payable is an asset, with a strong understanding of financial operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, particularly corporate and/or retail, will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to bring together and manage interactions with employees from across the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage demanding situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize numerous tasks with conflicting deadlines.
  • Results-oriented, with a proven track record of delivering on time and accurate results.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of tools, with a strong understanding of financial software and systems.
  • Familiarity with SAP system is preferred, but not required.
