Position Overview:

The Branch Manager is accountable for overseeing, maintaining, and managing the branch operations. This includes monitoring policies and procedures, making recommendations in collaboration with the Operations Manager/Director of Sales and department heads, and ensuring daily performance objectives are achieved. The role involves participating in the establishment and maintenance of branch goals and objectives, developing quality team members, and fostering a solid customer base. Additionally, the Branch Manager is responsible for optimizing the performance of all direct reports, including training, and ensuring a safe and conducive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight of internal staff, ensuring departments work effectively towards shared goals.
  • Ensure all staff receive appropriate training for their roles, with updates as necessary.
  • Drive sales growth by developing, coaching, and motivating sales and support teams.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction is upheld according to the required Branch Operational Scorecard standards.
  • Participate in customer engagements for sales and technical support when applicable.
  • Assist with warehouse and facility planning.
  • Manage vendor relationships and planning.
  • Engage in strategic and future management planning.
  • Oversee pricing maintenance.
  • Participate in and/or recommend product training initiatives.
  • Resolve disputes involving customers, staff, and the company.
  • Maintain and expand business operations.
  • Conduct outside sales by developing key customer relationships through regular site visits.
  • Manage the Inside Sales team.
  • Oversee administrative and customer service functions within the branch.
  • Determine sales projections for the fiscal year and monitor progress.
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings.
  • Address day-to-day personnel issues requiring management decisions.
  • Represent the company within the local and industry community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • College/University Diploma is required (preferably in Business, Sales & Marketing, or a Technical focus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Sales/Distribution environment, with prior management experience.
