Position Overview:

The Branch Operations Leader is accountable for overseeing, maintaining, and managing the branch's operations. This role involves monitoring policies and procedures, providing recommendations in collaboration with the Operations Manager/Director of Sales and department heads. The leader will track daily performance metrics and make decisions to ensure the branch meets its objectives. This position also includes setting and maintaining the branch's goals and objectives, developing a skilled team, and fostering a robust customer base while ensuring optimal performance of all direct reports, including training initiatives. A safe and comfortable working environment is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide, direct, and monitor internal staff to ensure departments work effectively towards shared goals.
  • Ensure all staff receive proper training for their roles, with updates as necessary.
  • Drive sales growth by developing, coaching, and motivating sales and support teams.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction aligns with the required Branch Operational Scorecard standards.
  • Participate in customer interactions for sales and technical support when applicable.
  • Assist with warehouse and facility planning.
  • Manage vendor relationships and planning.
  • Engage in strategic and future management planning.
  • Participate in and/or recommend product training.
  • Resolve disputes involving customers, staff, and the company.
  • Maintain and expand business operations.
  • Conduct outside sales by developing key customer relationships through frequent site visits.
  • Oversee the Inside Sales team.
  • Manage administrative and customer service functions within the branch.
  • Establish sales projections for the fiscal year and monitor progress.
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings.
  • Address day-to-day personnel issues requiring management decisions.
  • Represent the company within the local and industry community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • College/University Diploma is required (preferably in Business, Sales & Marketing, or a Technical focus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Sales/Distribution environment, with prior management experience required.
