Position Overview:

The Branch Operations Leader is accountable for overseeing the branch's operations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and collaborating with the Operations Manager and department heads to achieve branch objectives. This role involves monitoring daily performance metrics and making informed decisions to meet the branch's goals. The successful candidate will focus on developing a skilled team and fostering a strong customer base while ensuring optimal performance and a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to internal staff, ensuring alignment towards shared objectives.
  • Ensure all personnel receive appropriate training and that it is regularly updated.
  • Drive sales growth by coaching and motivating sales and support teams.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction aligns with the required operational standards.
  • Engage in customer interactions for sales and technical support as necessary.
  • Assist in warehouse and facility planning.
  • Manage vendor relationships and strategic planning.
  • Participate in product training and development initiatives.
  • Resolve disputes involving customers, staff, or the company.
  • Expand and maintain business operations.
  • Conduct outside sales activities, fostering key customer relationships through regular visits.
  • Oversee Inside Sales staff and administrative functions within the branch.
  • Establish sales projections for the fiscal year and monitor progress.
  • Lead weekly sales meetings.
  • Address day-to-day personnel issues requiring management intervention.
  • Represent the company within the local and industry community.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is mandatory.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Sales & Marketing, or a Technical field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, ideally in a Sales/Distribution context, with prior management experience being essential.
