Position Overview:

The Branch Operations Leader is accountable for overseeing, managing, and directing the branch's activities. This role involves monitoring operational policies and procedures while providing recommendations in collaboration with the Operations Manager and department heads. The position requires tracking daily performance metrics and making informed decisions to achieve branch objectives. Additionally, the role focuses on developing a skilled team and fostering a strong customer base while ensuring optimal performance from all direct reports, including training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and monitor internal staff, ensuring departmental alignment towards shared goals.
  • Ensure comprehensive training for all staff, with updates as necessary.
  • Drive sales growth through the development, coaching, and motivation of sales and support teams.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction aligns with the required operational standards.
  • Engage in customer interactions for sales and technical support as needed.
  • Assist in warehouse and facility planning.
  • Manage vendor relationships and strategic planning.
  • Participate in product training and management planning.
  • Resolve disputes involving customers, staff, and the company.
  • Maintain and expand business operations.
  • Conduct outside sales activities, fostering key customer relationships through regular site visits.
  • Oversee Inside Sales staff and administrative functions within the branch.
  • Project sales forecasts for the fiscal year and monitor progress.
  • Lead weekly sales meetings.
  • Address day-to-day personnel issues requiring management intervention.
  • Represent the company within the local and industry community.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is mandatory.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Sales & Marketing, or a Technical field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Sales/Distribution environment, with prior management experience required.
