RETAIL STORE MANAGER

As a Store Manager, you will guide the operations of our retail locations with a focus on customer satisfaction and a passion for enhancing the lives of pets.

In your role as a Retail Store Manager at PetSmart, you will manage every facet of the retail store—from hiring and training skilled associates to implementing strategic merchandising plans. You will set the benchmark for success within our stores, and each day you will take pride in making a meaningful impact on your team, our customers, and the pets entrusted to our care.

ABOUT YOUR TEAM:

You will lead a team that includes an Assistant Manager, Service Managers, and Department Managers, focusing on the following key areas:

  • Customer Engagement: Our Customer Engagement team, equipped with extensive product knowledge and a love for animals, ensures that customers receive the right solutions for their pets. They also supervise a team of Pet Care Associates to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all pets.
  • Merchandising & Inventory: The Merchandise and Inventory teams are crucial in assisting pet parents in finding what they need. This team executes plan-o-grams, organizes promotional changes, and oversees the fulfillment of in-store orders.
  • Associate Leadership: Emphasizing training and development, our Associate Lead ensures that team members are well-equipped to assist pet parents and support the Store Manager in achieving company goals.
  • Services: Beyond merchandise, our stores offer a variety of services that are rapidly growing. While our Grooming Salon and Pets Hotel have their own leaders, their success is closely tied to the Store Manager's leadership.
  • Overall Retail Initiatives: Together with your teams, you will drive sales and traffic goals, implement strategic merchandising initiatives, and establish standards of excellence within the retail store.
