Position Overview

The Human Resources Manager at 1359238 Ontario INC plays a crucial role in overseeing the HR functions within our retail and distribution environment. This position requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage a diverse team and ensure the smooth operation of HR policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Development: Establish and implement comprehensive HR policies and procedures.
  • Job Classification: Oversee the classification and evaluation of job roles within the organization.
  • Recruitment Strategy: Plan, develop, and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Contract Management: Manage and negotiate contracts related to HR services.
  • Training and Development: Design and oversee training programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze employee data to inform decision-making and improve HR practices.
  • Communication Strategies: Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage employees.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee inquiries and resolve complaints in a timely manner.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with management, union representatives, and HR consultants to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Grievance Procedures: Organize and manage staff consultation and grievance procedures.
  • Payroll Oversight: Supervise payroll administration to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Project Management: Assign, coordinate, and review various HR projects and programs.
  • Operational Management: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily HR operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This role involves supervising a team of more than 20 individuals, ensuring effective performance and development.

Technical Proficiency

Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Windows, and MS Word is essential for this position.

Work Environment

The position is based in a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
