Position Overview

This role is designed for a seasoned business and data analyst, concentrating on the support of the Global Functions Technology Project Portfolio. The primary focus will be on the FRTB initiative, which involves enhancing the strategic execution of FRTB SA Capital analysis to meet the diverse regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions. As departmental responsibilities grow, additional projects within GFT will be integrated into this role.

The selected candidate will adeptly convert business needs into high-quality, value-oriented IT solutions. Exceptional communication, management, and interpersonal skills are essential, as the candidate will be expected to cultivate relationships with various stakeholders, facilitate cross-functional deliverables, and present solutions to senior business partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive functional breakdown of the strategic market risk transformation roadmap for market risk systems and oversee its execution.
  • Collaborate closely with business users to grasp their requirements and demonstrate system functionalities.
  • Draft both high-level and detailed requirements specifications for projects in alignment with SDLC objectives.
  • Conduct daily business analysis tasks efficiently, including documentation of requirements, data analysis, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Work in tandem with the development team to clarify requirements, validate design assumptions for various business scenarios, and facilitate testing.
  • Innovate new methodologies to enhance Data Analytics, incorporating Machine Learning and AI.
  • Assist the QA team in formulating UAT test cases based on business requirements.

Qualifications

  • Over 8 years of experience in Capital Markets and/or Market Risk Management solutions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial instruments, including various types such as Rates Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, Equity Derivatives, FX Options, and FX Cash, along with their valuation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a proven track record of working with multiple stakeholders across IT and business domains.
  • Capability to clearly articulate requirements, summarize data analyses, and present findings to business users and development teams.
  • Robust data analysis skills, including hands-on experience with SQL, and the ability to analyze large datasets, visualize data, and create mock-ups of user interfaces using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with the Basel regulatory framework and its ongoing evolution and challenges.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous integration development.
  • Professional certifications in risk or finance (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Python, Anaconda, Pandas, Jupyter, and collaboration with developers using a technology stack that includes Linux, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and other big data technologies.
