As a Senior Business Analysis Manager at Royal Bank of Canada, you will play a key role in leading the delivery of business requirements on large-scale programs. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery, advocating for the value of business analysis, and building a shared understanding of the BA role within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Communication
- Collaborate with portfolio management and project management teams to optimize skill and capability fit across the BA team.
- Advocate for the value of business analysis to business and technology stakeholders, and build a shared understanding of the BA role in the organization.
- Facilitate conflict resolution by clarifying BA role and responsibilities on projects and programs.
- Provide guidance, feedback, coaching, and mentoring to build the capabilities of the BA team.
- Continually enhance skills and build knowledge in all aspects of the organization and within the business analysis domain.
- Business Analysis Planning
- Perform stakeholder analysis to identify impacted or influencing groups.
- Develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, continuously improving the level of detail and accuracy of estimates.
- Manage risks, assumptions, and constraints for requirements, and communicate to appropriate parties.
- Lead requirements prioritization and leverage techniques to drive out business priorities.
- Requirements Analysis and Documentation
- Engage large and diverse business stakeholder groups to facilitate requirements discovery, analysis, and review.
- Apply key elicitation techniques and advanced facilitation techniques to conduct large workshops.
- Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives.
- Partner with business and solution architects, and technology teams to define business needs and explore, assess, and recommend value-add solution options to support business strategies.
- Ensure team and stakeholders have knowledge of the RBC requirements process.
- Participate in requirements effort estimation at project portfolio level.
- Partner with project management to identify projects' interdependencies.
- Ensure quality of requirement deliverables and requirements estimates.
- Resolve requirements conflicts and issues between projects as escalated by the team.
- Analyze and document scope of the business solution using enterprise-standard requirements process and techniques.
