About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to join our team at HMTG Professional Corporation. As a key member of our healthcare support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordination and Scheduling
    • Coordinate the flow of information and ensure seamless communication between patients, healthcare providers, and staff.
    • Schedule and confirm appointments, procedures, and tests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Administrative Support
    • Provide administrative support to healthcare providers, including preparing and maintaining patient records, medical reports, and correspondence.
    • Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence, and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Office Management
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems, both physical and electronic.
    • Order supplies and maintain inventory, ensuring that the office is well-stocked and equipped to meet the needs of patients and staff.
  • Security and Safety
    • Ensure that all patient and staff information is kept confidential and secure, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a medical administrative role, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
    • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and other relevant software applications.
