Role Overview:

The Programming Department at KES operates across various locations, managing multiple employment contracts funded by provincial and federal sources. Our programs aim to help community members secure meaningful and sustainable employment.

Position Summary:

The Administrator and Reporting Specialist is tasked with overseeing administrative functions and reporting within the programming department. This role involves supporting a dedicated team of facilitators in delivering services to clients. Key responsibilities include gathering data and generating detailed reports for stakeholders and the Senior Leadership Team. Additionally, the role encompasses client support, adherence to data quality standards, financial oversight, and reporting obligations. Other responsibilities involve general program administration, serving as a communication liaison, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

Location: Various locations

Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Compensation: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Background:

A degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Professional Experience:

  • Experience in business and technical settings.
  • Proficiency in managing databases and generating reports.
  • Experience working with marginalized groups is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, online applications, email, and office equipment).
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong command of the English language with excellent communication abilities.
  • Capacity to build and maintain respectful and productive relationships.
  • Comfortable engaging with businesses and community stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proactive in managing client files and documentation.
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

Initiative and Independence:

  • Proven ability to take initiative and work autonomously.
  • Self-motivated learner, committed to personal and professional growth.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Accurate data entry and understanding of contract policies.
  • Ability to monitor participant progress and program outcomes using Excel.

Additional Requirements:

  • Clear criminal record check for vulnerable sectors.
  • Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
  • Understanding of privacy and confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

Compensation Structure:

We provide training to new hires to develop essential skills. As you advance in this role, your pay will reflect your skill level, with starting wages typically at $25.00 per hour, and benefits commencing after three months. Vacation entitlements increase after one year. Candidates with relevant experience may be considered for a higher starting wage.
