Key Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Director of Clinical Care, overseeing the nursing team with clear lines of authority and communication.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Care and Community Manager in the recruitment, hiring, and performance evaluation processes.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors.
  • Assists the team in developing and executing comprehensive care plans tailored to the residents' individual needs.
  • Ensures compliance with legislative requirements and the standards set by governing bodies.
  • Facilitates the implementation of the RAI MDS program, including monitoring performance metrics.
  • Engages with educational institutions for the placement of practicum students.
  • Fosters positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Addresses family and client concerns through the Positive Solutions process.
  • Co-leads departmental meetings.
  • Coordinates and oversees operational activities within the department.
  • Participates in strategic planning and accreditation initiatives.
  • Works alongside the Director of Clinical Care and the Quality & Clinical Practice Consultant to identify and address educational needs.
  • Available for on-call duties as required.
  • Maintains current registration with BCCNM as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Possesses a minimum of five (5) years of management experience, including supervision of a multidisciplinary team and budgetary responsibilities.
  • Brings prior experience in long-term care settings.
  • Exhibits strong multitasking abilities, effective time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent planning, directing, evaluating, and controlling skills in delivering diverse care services.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, thriving in a team-oriented environment.
  • Can provide a Negative TB Screening and Immunization Records.
  • Successfully clears a vulnerable sector criminal record check.

What We Offer:

Compensation: $66,000 - $87,000 annually.
