Salary for this position ranges from $88,990 to $127,923, determined by the applicant's qualifications and experience, alongside an internal salary equity review.

Impact and Responsibilities:
The Clinical Specialist plays a pivotal role in providing clinical guidance and leadership to ensure the success of the healthcare portfolio. This position is responsible for developing and recommending program plans, standards, and guidance documents that align with organizational and health authority priorities.

The Clinical Specialist ensures that all clinical and operational plans are centered around patient needs, consistent with current evidence, and support the strategic goals of the organization. This role also involves providing clinical guidance for quality improvement initiatives, assisting in data interpretation, and supporting change management processes.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  1. Regularly assessing the clinical environment to identify opportunities for improvement and recommending priorities within existing plans and strategies.
  2. Offering clinical expertise in the formulation of policies, procedures, and strategies, ensuring operational feasibility and high-quality service delivery.
  3. Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of Ministry of Health policies and best practices to inform planning and implementation.
  4. Collaborating with Clinical Operations to develop performance indicators and monitoring frameworks for the assigned portfolio.
  5. Engaging with internal and external partners to foster collaboration.
  6. Supporting clinical educators by providing expert guidance when necessary.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  1. Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline.
  2. Current registration with the relevant professional college.
  3. Five to seven years of relevant experience, including expertise in developing clinical practice documents and managing large-scale projects.
  4. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Competencies:
  1. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and incorporate varied perspectives into planning.
  2. Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
  3. Proven ability to lead teams and maintain motivation and commitment.
  4. Capability to manage change in alignment with the organization's mission and values.
  5. Expertise in analyzing evidence and statistical data.
  6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to facilitate discussions and negotiations.
  7. Physical capability to fulfill the duties of the role.
  8. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  9. Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
