About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at NAFO. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in driving business success through strategic HR initiatives and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic HR Partnering
  • Provide expert HR guidance and support to senior leaders and business stakeholders to drive business outcomes and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals and objectives, ensuring a high-performing and engaged workforce.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement organizational change initiatives, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to business operations.
Talent Development and Management
  • Design and deliver talent development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of our employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills to drive business success.
  • Develop and implement effective talent management strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent, ensuring a strong pipeline of future leaders.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify and address talent gaps, ensuring the right people are in the right roles to drive business outcomes.
Employee Engagement and Experience
  • Develop and implement employee engagement strategies to enhance the overall employee experience, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to design and implement employee recognition and reward programs, ensuring employees feel valued and recognized for their contributions.
  • Partner with HR teams to develop and implement effective communication strategies, ensuring employees are informed and engaged throughout organizational change initiatives.
Organizational Effectiveness and Efficiency
  • Develop and implement organizational design and structure initiatives to enhance business efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify and address process inefficiencies, ensuring streamlined and efficient business operations.
  • Partner with HR teams to develop and implement effective change management strategies, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to business operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Significant progressive HR/business experience, with a focus on HR generalist/business partner support, organization effectiveness, and program management.
  • Proven track record in building strong relationships with executives/senior leaders, with the ability to provide robust recommendations, coach, influence, and drive change in pursuit of best practice.
  • Experience using data and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated business acumen and consulting skills.
  • Experience with change management and supporting leaders with developing change plans.
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong ability to build executive summaries.
  • Experience working within a unionized environment is an asset.
