Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at LifeLabs. As a key member of our HR leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and support to our business leaders, driving organizational effectiveness, and advancing our HR goals and priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide business leaders with strategic and consultative advice on complex people matters, including talent management, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals, translating big-picture ideas into actionable HR plans.
  • Identify emerging people issues and trends, analyzing data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with HR Centres of Expertise to leverage digital tools and analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Advance HR goals and priorities, enabling the people strategy and delivering the HR plan within assigned client functions.
  • Strategic employee and labour relations, reinforcing the appropriate application of HR policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Develop and coach the HR team, supporting ongoing capability development and building a talent pipeline for future HR leaders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Significant progressive HR/business experience, with a focus on HR generalist/business partner support, organization effectiveness, and program management.
  • Proven track record in building strong relationships with executives/senior leaders, with the ability to provide robust recommendations, coach, influence, and drive change in pursuit of best practice.
  • Experience using data and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated business acumen and consulting skills.
  • Experience with change management and supporting leaders with developing change plans.
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong ability to build executive summaries.
  • Experience working within a unionized environment is an asset.
