Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accident Benefits Claims Advisor to join our team at Sécurité Nationale Compagnie d'Assurance. As a key member of our Accident Benefits Claims Department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring timely and fair claims resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and Verify Information: Collect and verify documented information from various sources to ensure a thorough and complete compilation of facts required to resolve claims.
  • Interpret Reports and Evidence: Analyze reports and evidence to draw accurate conclusions about proposed treatments and/or repairs and/or actions.
  • Maintain Effective Case Handling: Prioritize payment, loss transfer, and loss reserving for routine telephone claims.
  • Evaluate Medical Files: Assess non-complex medical files and recommend treatment plans that do not result in the individual requiring time off from work.
  • Contribute to Team Productivity: Maintain a positive file count and open/close ratio to contribute to team productivity objectives.
Requirements
  • Post-Secondary Education: A degree in health (kinesiology/health sciences) or insurance is preferred.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: Demonstrate excellent customer service skills with the ability to meet expectations of internal and external clients.
  • Proven Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate win/win outcomes when reasonably possible.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Demonstrate professional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to listen actively, ask questions, and communicate clearly.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to conduct thorough investigations, analyze evidence effectively, and identify discrepancies or gaps in data and reports.
  • Accident Benefits Experience: Actively working toward a role in Accident Benefits as part of your career development plan.
