As an Automobile Physical Damage Adjuster, your responsibilities will include investigating and managing reported claims in accordance with company and regulatory standards. This role primarily involves engaging with policyholders and service providers to deliver exceptional claims service through the assessment of moderately complex auto physical damage claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather details of the incident through investigations conducted via telephone and/or independent adjusters.
  • Adjust automobile physical damage claims across various provinces.
  • Establish reserves for all claims in line with reserve guidelines.
  • Maintain thorough and precise documentation for each claim file.
  • Respond promptly to new claims and inquiry calls.
  • Interpret coverage and apply it to each loss under home and auto policies, as assigned.
  • Issue necessary payments based on the facts of the incident and applicable coverage.
  • Adhere to customer satisfaction standards to enhance client retention and mitigate severity in all claims areas.

Qualifications:

  • You have or are pursuing the CIP Designation.
  • You possess 2 years of claims handling experience or 3 years of experience in the insurance or financial sector.
  • You have a general understanding of current industry issues and trends related to automobile physical damage claims, client service, time management, and auto repairs.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiar with claims database systems.
