As a Property Claims Adjuster, your role will involve delivering prompt and courteous claims service in managing personal lines property (home) claims. This position entails engaging with policyholders and service providers to interpret applicable coverage and facilitate the payment of claims.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather details of the loss through investigations conducted via telephone and independent adjusters. Interpret coverage and legal regulations during the claims adjudication process. Ensure accurate and timely reserving and reporting of file exposures. Collaborate with policyholders and professional service providers on the assessment, delivery, and payment of claims. Adhere to customer satisfaction standards to enhance customer retention and minimize severity.

Qualifications for Success:

You possess 1-3 years of experience in claims adjusting, with technical expertise in personal lines auto or property. You have completed post-secondary education in Business or a related field. You have successfully finished the C-11 Principles and Practice of Insurance course. You hold or are pursuing the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation. You have a working knowledge of current issues and trends in claims adjudication and policy management systems.

Important Considerations:

This role operates in a contact center environment requiring a high level of audio and visual concentration for extended periods. Strict confidentiality regarding clients' medical history, financial status, and other personal information is mandatory. You will support clients experiencing personal or financial loss, necessitating a high degree of confidentiality and discretion. A background check will be conducted as a condition of employment for successful candidates.
