We are seeking a highly skilled Accident Benefits Claims Advisor II to join our team at TD Insurance. As a key member of our Accident Benefits Claims Department, you will play a critical role in delivering ease and value to our customers through simple, fast, and fair claims resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Gather and Verify Information: Gather, organize, and verify documented information from all available sources to ensure a thorough and complete compilation of facts required to resolve the claim.
- Effective Case Handling: Maintain effective case handling, priority of payment, loss transfer, and loss reserving for routine telephone claims.
- Medical File Evaluation: Evaluate non-complex medical files and recommend treatment plans that do not result in the individual requiring time off from work.
- Stay Current with Industry Developments: Remain current in case law, legislated regulatory changes, and recent settlements which impact accident benefits claims.
- Claims Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in accident benefits claims, including first response center, catastrophe claims, automobile, and residential claims.
- Culture of Care: Consider every case as unique; use non-biased methods to achieve file resolution that result in a fair and equitable claim settlement.
