The Opportunity
As an Automobile Physical Damage Adjuster, you will investigate and manage reported claims in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines. This role involves interacting with policyholders and service providers to deliver exceptional claims service through the adjudication of moderately complex auto physical damage claims.
How You'll Make a Difference- Gather detailed information about losses through telephone investigations and/or independent adjusters.
- Adjust automobile physical damage claims across multiple provinces.
- Establish reserves on all claims in accordance with established guidelines.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate claim file documentation.
- Respond promptly to new claims and inquiry calls.
- Interpret coverage provisions and apply them to each loss under home and auto, as assigned.
- Issue payments as determined by the facts of the loss and applicable coverage.
- Adhere to customer satisfaction standards to contribute to increased customer retention and reduced claim severity.
- Adaptability to change and a commitment to continuous improvement, exceeding client expectations.
- Strong communication skills for clear and concise message delivery.
- Effective teamwork and knowledge sharing with peers.
- You possess or are actively pursuing the CIP Designation.
- Two years of claims handling experience or three years of insurance/financial professional experience.
- General industry knowledge on current issues and trends in handling automobile physical damage losses, client service, time management, and auto repairs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with claims database systems.
