Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Northern Health Authority.
As a key member of our Specialized Services team, you will provide ongoing intensive outreach nursing care, case management, and mental health and substance use support services for assigned clients. You will work closely with inter-professional community mental health and substance use staff, emergency services, Indigenous partners, and community service providers to design, implement, and monitor individual treatment plans that maximize community functioning and reduce re-hospitalization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide ongoing intensive outreach nursing care and case management services for assigned clients
- Design, implement, and monitor individual treatment plans to maximize community functioning and reduce re-hospitalization
- Work closely with inter-professional community mental health and substance use staff, emergency services, Indigenous partners, and community service providers
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant or a practicing RPN registrant
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience in mental health and substance use programming or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Advanced preparation in area(s) of clinical specialty, including Psychedelic Assisted Therapy RN
- Experience with varying forms of healing modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Grof Breath work, Internal Family Systems, Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Hakomi, etc.
