Perioperative Nursing Specialist

We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team in the Operating Room department at Fort St. John Hospital.
Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Operating room Head Nurse, the OR nurse provides direct nursing care to the peri-operative patient according to established standards/policies and provides work direction to nursing and non-nursing staff as required.
Responsibilities- Assesses the physical and psychological needs of patients
- Plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care for patients during the peri-operative process and immediate post-operative period
- Provides work direction to nursing and non-nursing staff as required
We are offering a training opportunity for a Registered Nurse to complete the AORN Periop-101 course, a blended learning program that delivers standardized education on the foundational skills of perioperative nursing.

- Demonstrated physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Demonstrated ability to operate related equipment such as blood pressure and oxygen saturation monitor, hydrotherapy blanket, operative instruments, endoscopes, and scope washer
