Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Assistant Department Manager in our Cosmetics department. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Department Manager in directing staff to maintain high standards of merchandising, customer service, and operational excellence within the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Department Manager in directing staff to maintain merchandising, customer service, and operational standards within the department.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.
  • Assist with the management of inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of merchandise.
  • Develop and implement visual merchandising displays and promotions to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Department Manager to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Provide coaching and training to sales associates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist with the management of the department's budget and ensure that expenses are within approved limits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager or Store Manager.
Requirements
  • Minimum one year of management experience in a retail environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of cosmetic products and strong merchandising and visual display skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
