Job Overview:

The Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Anesthetic Care Unit at PHSA is tasked with delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to young patients and their families. This role encompasses patient evaluation, treatment, education for patients and families, and initiatives aimed at health promotion. The successful candidate will foster an inclusive and secure environment for all individuals, in alignment with the organization's established policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document and maintain comprehensive patient records and health care information
  • Design and implement direct care plans for pediatric patients
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to assess and enhance patient care
  • Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on health-related topics
  • Identify educational needs and engage in relevant activities to address them
  • Participate in the orientation and training of new staff
  • Serve as a clinical resource for patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current registration as a practicing RN
  • A minimum of one year of recent experience in pediatric PACU or pediatric critical care
  • Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support
