Our facilities encompass a full spectrum of pediatric surgical services, including advanced care in neonatal, cardiac, neuro, transplant, and major orthopedic/spine reconstruction surgeries, alongside interventional radiology and cardiology.

Our anesthesia-led acute pain service, along with sedation services for various specialties, ensures that we meet the diverse needs of our patients. PHSA is recognized as a premier teaching institution, actively engaging in research to enhance healthcare delivery through our dedicated research institute and partnerships with leading educational institutions.

The Department of Pediatric Anesthesia is seeking a qualified Fellowship-trained pediatric anesthesiologist. This role requires simultaneous application to a related position in Pediatric Complex Pain. The anesthesia role is full-time and cannot be pursued independently. Candidates must fulfill all eligibility criteria for both roles.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about advancing clinical and academic excellence within our team. Responsibilities will encompass all clinical anesthesia duties (excluding cardiac anesthesia) and involvement in the acute pain service activities. Successful candidates are expected to contribute to our academic mission, including quality improvement, education, research, and faculty development, and to actively participate in our Clinical and Research Fellowship Program.

Applicants must possess a medical degree and be eligible for licensure with the appropriate regulatory body. Anesthesia training must be recognized by the relevant medical authority. Additionally, candidates should have completed subspecialty training in pediatric anesthesia and have substantial experience as a practicing pediatric anesthesiologist. Expertise in tertiary/quaternary pediatric anesthesia is essential.

Ideal candidates will also have one or both of the following qualifications:

  • Formal experience or training in clinical research
  • Formal experience or training in quality improvement

Successful applicants will be recommended for appointment to the Department of Anesthesia, Pharmacology and Therapeutics in the Faculty of Medicine. Academic rank will be determined based on qualifications and prior experience.
