Pediatric Anesthesia Specialist

The Department of Pediatric Anesthesia is in search of fellowship-trained pediatric anesthesiologists who are dedicated to enhancing both clinical and academic standards within our team. This role encompasses comprehensive clinical anesthesia duties, excluding cardiac anesthesia, along with involvement in acute pain management services. Successful candidates are expected to actively engage in our academic initiatives, which include quality enhancement, education, research, and faculty development, while also contributing to our Clinical and Research Fellowship Program.

Applicants must possess a medical degree and be eligible for licensure with the relevant medical authority. It is essential that the anesthesia training is recognized by the appropriate governing body. Additionally, candidates should have completed subspecialty training in pediatric anesthesia. Applications will also be accepted from those currently undergoing subspecialty pediatric training, with the understanding that any offered position will be contingent upon the successful completion of their training and satisfactory references.

Expertise in pediatric anesthesia within a tertiary or quaternary care setting is crucial.

Ideal candidates will also demonstrate one or more of the following qualifications:

  • Interest and training in pediatric pain management
  • Formal experience or training in clinical research
  • Formal experience or training in quality improvement initiatives

Successful applicants will be recommended for appointment to the Department of Anesthesia, Pharmacology, and Therapeutics within the Faculty of Medicine. The academic rank will be determined based on qualifications and prior experience.
