Pediatric Anesthesia Specialist
The Department of Pediatric Anesthesia is actively seeking highly qualified pediatric anesthesiologists who have completed Fellowship training or its equivalent. Our focus is on enhancing both clinical and academic excellence within our team. The role encompasses comprehensive clinical anesthesia duties, excluding cardiac anesthesia, and involvement in the acute pain service activities.

Successful candidates are expected to contribute to our academic objectives, which include:

  • Quality improvement initiatives
  • Educational programs
  • Research activities
  • Faculty development
Moreover, participation in our Clinical and Research Fellowship Program is a key aspect of this position.

Applicants must possess a medical degree and be eligible for licensure with the relevant medical authority. Anesthesia training must be recognized by the appropriate governing body. Candidates who are currently in subspecialty pediatric training or have been accepted into such programs are also encouraged to apply, with any offers contingent upon the successful completion of their training and favorable references.

Expertise in pediatric anesthesia within a tertiary or quaternary care setting is crucial.

Ideal candidates will also demonstrate one or more of the following qualifications:
  • Interest and training in pediatric pain management
  • Experience or training in clinical research
  • Experience or training in quality improvement processes
Successful applicants will be considered for appointment to the Department of Anesthesia, Pharmacology and Therapeutics in the Faculty of Medicine. Academic rank will be determined based on qualifications and prior experience.
