The Senior Marketing Manager, Strategy & Enablement will be a pivotal member of the North American Personal & Business Banking Marketing team, reporting directly to the Director of Strategy & Enablement. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in strategic consulting, performance management of essential KPIs, and the ability to craft presentations for executive audiences. While marketing experience is not a prerequisite, strong communication skills are essential.

This role encompasses support for strategic initiatives, executive content development, annual planning, performance oversight, and activities related to the office of the CMO for BMO's North American Personal & Business Banking (P&BB) Marketing team. The position requires close collaboration with the CMO of P&BB and various members of the P&BB Marketing Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to advance the strategic agenda of P&BB Marketing through effective planning, performance monitoring, and operational execution.

Essential qualifications include a strong foundation in consulting, business operations, annual planning, and executive-level presentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the assigned business/group.
  • Influence and negotiate to meet business objectives.
  • Assist in the formulation of strategic plans.
  • Identify emerging issues and trends to guide decision-making.
  • Engage in the implementation of strategic initiatives across BMO by collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a relationship manager for assigned projects/programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise and group goals.
  • Develop solutions and provide recommendations based on a comprehensive understanding of business strategy and stakeholder needs.
  • Participate in project/program design, offering advice and subject matter expertise to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Conduct necessary analyses to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide business context in the design, development, and implementation of programs and solutions.
  • Network with industry contacts to gather competitive insights and best practices.
  • Analyze strategic problems, utilizing data and information to deliver insights and recommendations.
  • Monitor and track performance, addressing any arising issues.
  • Develop change management plans of varying scope and lead or participate in diverse change management activities.
  • Identify enablers and key issues during implementation, raising concerns with stakeholders and proposing solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Focus primarily on the business/group within BMO, with potential enterprise-wide considerations.
  • Provide specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support.
  • Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and resolve problems within established guidelines.
  • Work independently and manage non-routine situations effectively.
  • Broader responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency acquired through extensive education and business experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Influential skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

Salary: $74, $138,600.00

Pay Type: Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.
