Role Overview
The Senior Vice President of Marketing Strategy is a pivotal role for an experienced marketing professional with exceptional leadership capabilities. This individual will guide the marketing team through all facets of marketing activities, from demand generation to brand management, including strategy formulation, consumer engagement, innovation, and product lifecycle management.
You will champion a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement within the marketing team and throughout the organization.
As a consumer-focused strategist and a vital member of the executive team, you will work closely with leaders across various functions, both locally and globally, to strengthen the connection between our brands and consumers, achieve ambitious business goals, and contribute to the company's long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing Sustainable Marketing Strategies: Define the strategic vision for the marketing department, establishing clear priorities, performance indicators, objectives, and a roadmap that aligns with broader business goals.
- Building a High-Performing Marketing Team: Assemble and nurture a top-tier marketing team capable of partnering effectively with a dynamic and growth-oriented business to seize opportunities on both local and global scales.
- Implementing Comprehensive Marketing Strategies: Formulate and execute both short-term and long-term marketing strategies that reinforce the brand promise and align with the overall strategic vision of the company.
Passion for Brand Development:
Oversee the creation, testing, and launch of innovative marketing initiatives and campaigns, staying attuned to relevant trends and insights through solid consumer research and analytics.
Bring a creative mindset and a holistic marketing approach to drive impactful product offerings that align with strategic objectives and brand vision.
Foster strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including sales, product development, supply chain, and finance, enhancing the marketing department's influence through strategic collaboration.
Leadership and Vision:
As a respected member of the executive team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's direction. You will possess a degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is advantageous.
With at least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in senior marketing roles, you will demonstrate a proven ability to lead strategic planning and develop actionable marketing strategies.
Your experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, particularly within the grocery or food industry, will be invaluable, as will your awareness of current marketing trends.
Fluency in French and/or Spanish is considered a valuable asset.
