Story Behind the Need

• Business group: Insurance Operations. The successful candidate will be apart of the Canadian Marketing Team and will be dedicated to supporting the Insurance Operations group.

• Project: The business group is undergoing a transformation in modernizing all elements of servicing customers, ultimately modernizing every touchpoint. This is inclusive of revitalizing templates, forms, and more.

Typical Day in Role

• Consult with various teams to stay on top of projects and initiatives designed to move our organization into 1st place within the industry.

• Collaborate with client business partners and senior leadership in support of strategic initiatives, and design go-to-market plans on behalf of our marketing org.

• Develop leading-edge communications that are engaging, informative and relevant to specific audiences.

• Act as an advocate for advisors, the leadership team, and differing audiences, continually seeking faster and more efficient ways of building engagement and breaking through the clutter.

• Deal with ambiguity, change, and competing deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.

• Develop and maintain a network of subject matter experts from across client in support of content development.

• Contribute to a highly effective marketing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

• Formally present and defend recommendations.

• Take the initiative and accountability for the quality of your work, operating with minimal supervision.

• Influence others through a collaborative, thoughtful and tactful communication style.

• Communications support for high-profile, sensitive, or key strategic-initiative-related deliverables as required.

• The ability to understand and communicate within our brand tone and voice.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

1) Minimum 5 years of experience writing and developing marketing strategies: Developing and implementing marketing strategies and communications for various audiences, including senior management speaking notes and presentations.

2) Minimum 5 years of experience writing and developing communications

3) Demonstrated time management with a consistent track record of on-time, on-budget delivery

4) Able to develop, own, and advocate for high-quality go-to-market strategies, using different mediums like communications, multi-media, presentations, and more.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

- Experience working within insurance or financial services and/or an agile organization is ideal but not mandatory. Preference will go to strong marketing skills.

- Mandarin – candidates with this skill would be prioritized**

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand and articulate stakeholder needs. Demonstrates exceptional questioning and active listening skills, synthesizing and interpreting information to develop leading strategies.**

Education:

•A degree or diploma in marketing, journalism, communications or equivalent work experience.

• Certifications: Agile marketing experience, nice to have however not mandatory
