Position Overview

The successful candidate will be tasked with identifying, cultivating, and sustaining business connections with a clientele primarily composed of small enterprises within the commercial landscape. The aim is to advocate for and sell products and services that will enhance the growth of the business center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture personalized business connections with existing and prospective clients to effectively promote and sell the offerings provided by Desjardins.
  • Act as a liaison between the business center and clients, ensuring optimal utilization and satisfaction with the products and services. Assess sources of dissatisfaction and propose viable solutions.
  • Analyze client needs, develop tailored solutions, and create a comprehensive service proposal. Negotiate terms with clients as necessary.
  • Advise on strategies and solutions aimed at achieving business center objectives, including increased transaction volume, effective risk management, and enhanced profitability.
  • Utilize market intelligence to uncover business development opportunities that will bolster the competitiveness of the offerings.
  • Conduct promotional initiatives as part of the business operations. Engage in targeted public relations efforts and actively participate in the business community.
  • Remain attentive to client needs to ensure their complete satisfaction, capitalize on business opportunities, and, when necessary, direct them to the appropriate resources.
  • Comply with all relevant policies, practices, and standards, as well as the laws governing financial product distribution. Ensure prudent risk management for all assigned portfolios.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of two years of pertinent experience.
  • Knowledge of French is mandatory.
  • Awareness of current financial, economic, policy, and legislative trends.
  • Ability to conduct market analysis and evaluate the external environment of the business center.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis.
  • Understanding of the characteristics and credit risks associated with major commercial and institutional markets.
  • Familiarity with loan and guarantee agreements.
  • Knowledge of business-related products and services offered by Desjardins and its competitors.
  • Understanding of financing and credit management practices for businesses.
  • Familiarity with policies, legislation, and standards governing the business center's offerings.
  • Insight into business credit authorization, monitoring, collection, and recovery practices.
  • Understanding of Desjardins' business processes.
  • Knowledge of the referral process.
  • Familiarity with government business assistance programs.
  • Strong networking and sales skills.
  • Understanding of service standards and cooperative values.
  • Fluency in English is required.
