Position Overview

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in identifying, cultivating, and sustaining business relationships with a clientele primarily consisting of small enterprises within the commercial landscape. The aim is to effectively promote and sell a range of products and services to enhance the growth of the center's operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture personalized business connections with existing and prospective clients to advocate for and sell the offerings of Desjardins.
  • Function as an account liaison, ensuring effective communication between the business center and clients. Regularly assess client satisfaction and address any areas of concern with appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of client needs, crafting tailored solutions and comprehensive service proposals. Engage in negotiations to finalize terms with clients.
  • Propose strategies aimed at achieving the business center's objectives, including enhanced business volume, effective risk management, and improved client relationships.
  • Utilize market intelligence to pinpoint business development opportunities that will bolster the competitiveness of the services provided.
  • Implement various promotional initiatives as part of the center's operational strategy. Actively engage in public relations efforts and contribute to the business community.
  • Remain attuned to client needs to ensure their complete satisfaction, identifying business opportunities and directing them to the appropriate resources when necessary.
  • Comply with all established policies, practices, and standards, as well as relevant laws governing financial product distribution. Ensure prudent risk management for all assigned portfolios.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of two years of pertinent experience.
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency in French is required.
  • Awareness of current financial, economic, policy, and legislative trends.
  • Capability to analyze market conditions and the external environment of the business center.
  • Experience in financial analysis.
  • Understanding of the characteristics and credit risks associated with major commercial, industrial, and institutional markets.
  • Familiarity with loan and guarantee agreements.
  • Knowledge of business products and services offered by Desjardins and its competitors.
  • Insight into financing and credit management practices relevant to businesses.
  • Understanding of policies, legislation, and standards governing the business center's offerings.
  • Familiarity with business credit authorization, monitoring, collection, and recovery practices.
  • Knowledge of Desjardins' operational processes.
  • Comprehension of the referral process.
  • Familiarity with government business assistance programs.
  • Strong networking and sales skills.
  • Understanding of service standards.
  • Appreciation for cooperative values and operations.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
