Position Overview

The selected candidate will be tasked with identifying, engaging, and nurturing business relationships primarily with small enterprises in the commercial sector. The goal is to effectively promote and sell a range of products and services to enhance the growth of the business center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain tailored business relationships with existing and prospective clients to advocate for and sell the offerings of Desjardins.
  • Act as a liaison between the business center and clients, ensuring optimal usage and satisfaction with the provided products and services. Address any sources of dissatisfaction and propose effective solutions.
  • Assess client needs, devise customized solutions, and prepare comprehensive service offerings. Negotiate terms with clients as necessary.
  • Advise on strategies and solutions to meet business center objectives, including increased sales volume, effective risk management, and enhanced client relationships.
  • Utilize market intelligence to pinpoint business development opportunities that will enhance the competitiveness of the offerings.
  • Conduct promotional activities aligned with the business operations of the center. Engage in targeted public relations efforts and actively participate in the business community.
  • Remain attentive to client needs to ensure their satisfaction, identify business opportunities, and refer them to appropriate resources when necessary.
  • Comply with all established policies, practices, and standards, as well as relevant laws governing financial product distribution. Ensure prudent risk management for all assigned portfolios.

Qualifications:

  • Competence in performing financial analyses.

  • Understanding of loan and guarantee agreements.
  • Knowledge of business products and services offered by Desjardins and its competitors.
  • Expertise in financing and credit management practices related to businesses.
  • Familiarity with policies, legislation, and standards governing the products and services of the business center.
  • Knowledge of business credit authorization, monitoring, collection, and recovery practices.
  • Understanding of Desjardins' business processes.
  • Awareness of the referral process.
  • Familiarity with government business assistance programs.
  • Strong networking and sales skills.
  • Understanding of service standards.
  • Comprehension of cooperative values, rules, and operations.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
