Position Overview:

The Finance Senior Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the marketing division within our organization. This position is integral to ensuring accurate budgeting and forecasting processes, as well as providing insightful financial analysis to drive strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the enterprise budgeting and forecasting processes related to marketing operations, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure precision and thoroughness.
  • Prepare and present periodic financial results and ad hoc reports to brand managers, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Support the marketing teams with financial reporting, planning, and analysis, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Take ownership of the preparation of marketing accruals and journal entries on a regular basis.
  • Oversee daily financial activities within the marketing unit, including accounts payable and invoicing.
  • Identify opportunities to mitigate financial risks and enhance the efficiency of marketing expenditures.
  • Drive improvements in processes and efficiencies across the marketing operations.
  • Provide valuable insights and expectations to the marketing team to support both short-term and long-term planning.
  • Establish and uphold financial policies and procedures within the marketing finance team.
  • Manage the billing process for categories to recover funds for marketing expenses.
  • Communicate financial results and variances to FP&A and other relevant stakeholders as necessary.
  • Assist in the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and ongoing reporting mechanisms.
  • Address ad hoc requests as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a finance-related role, preferably within the retail sector.
  • A university degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related discipline. CPA/MBA or enrollment in these programs is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial stewardship and process improvement, along with strong financial modeling capabilities.
  • Proficient technical skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to manage large datasets effectively.
  • Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
  • Ability to distill complex concepts into clear and concise presentations.
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to foster effective working relationships.
  • Exemplary personal integrity and accountability.
  • Capacity to thrive under pressure and communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in process design and systems integration is considered a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
