Position Summary: Rogers is in search of a Director of National Sales to spearhead our operations in the Montreal area. As a pivotal leader, you will play an essential role in steering and managing all sales activities within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for achieving revenue targets across News & Entertainment platforms, including TotalTV, Broadcast, Digital, OOH, and Connected TV.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop forecasts, strategic plans, and initiatives to meet established goals.
  • Lead discussions with agencies, support contract renewals, and cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers in the Montreal market.
  • Ensure that high-volume agreements are effectively managed and fulfilled in partnership with our agency collaborators.
  • Drive the achievement of regional revenue goals by engaging and inspiring media sales account managers and the market manager.
  • Work alongside other National and Local Directors to formulate market and regional sales strategies.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape of the region to provide valuable insights and intelligence.
  • Design and execute key account strategies for significant clients, focusing on relationship management and alignment with their objectives.
  • Utilize Client Solutions and Multiplatform Solutions to enhance market share.
  • Support the Vice President of National Sales.
  • Establish direct client relationships and build strategic partnerships with Rogers Business teams in Montreal.
  • Represent Rogers Sports & Media at the regional level, actively engaging in councils and strategic planning sessions.
  • Implement a consultative sales approach that prioritizes brand evolution across multiple platforms to meet consumer needs and drive revenue growth.
  • Identify long-term opportunities and develop a sales roadmap to capitalize on them.
  • Empower platform sales leaders to make informed decisions at the appropriate levels.
  • Focus on achieving established KPIs, including financial performance, client satisfaction, and employee engagement.
  • Promote the adoption of tools, training, and advanced products across all Rogers brands and platforms.
  • Leverage Salesforce CRM to enhance communication and collaboration.
  • Provide training in key account management for disciplined growth through effective management practices.
  • Facilitate negotiation training to maximize revenue outcomes.
  • Utilize Revenue Planning reports for a comprehensive understanding of performance metrics.
  • Engage the Insights team for smarter proposals and enhanced customer service.
  • Foster a collaborative environment for platform leaders and their teams.
  • Manage budgets and market expenditures.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a strong drive for success and a diplomatic approach.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to discern overall business needs and formulate effective strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including strong interpersonal and presentation abilities.
  • Proven sales management expertise, particularly within large broadcasting organizations, thriving in a matrixed environment.
  • A focus on sales growth, adept at managing multiple revenue streams concurrently.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of successful collaboration with all levels of management, team members, clients, and external partners.
  • Creative problem-solving skills; confident in making swift and effective decisions.
