Sales Engineer for Technical Product Support

Responsibilities Include:
Assessing technical data to deliver effective solutions for clients' sealing needs, including product and material recommendations; Resolving user issues related to sealing products and systems, suggesting solutions or alternative products; Conducting evaluations of failed seals and preparing comprehensive failure analysis reports with application suggestions; Leading root cause analysis on warranty claims and managing warranty response initiatives; Supporting the promotion, sales, and servicing of products in alignment with company goals and customer requirements; Drafting technical proposals, reviewing purchase orders, and collaborating with planning and customer service teams to ensure timely order fulfillment; Coordinating project management tasks, including supplier communication and information dissemination for product orders; Assisting the sales team with product identification through reverse engineering when samples are provided; Creating part lists, entering and maintaining product data in SAP systems; Preparing cost estimates for new products, considering various cost factors; Developing and reviewing technical drawings and operation manuals as necessary; Collaborating with other departments to generate quality documentation for orders; Keeping records of quality documents submitted to clients for traceability; Managing projects and associated tasks for strategic clients and international initiatives as directed by management; Troubleshooting products and systems as required, documenting findings and recommendations; Creating and maintaining sales tools, including surveys, reference materials, presentations, and technical guidelines; Updating product data and master lists within EB SAP systems; Delivering training sessions and product presentations to colleagues and clients.Required Qualifications:
7-10 years of experience in the mechanical seal sector. Proven experience in providing technical sales support, including assembly and fitment of mechanical seals. Proficiency in CAD software (Solid Edge and Cadra) with at least 4 years of drawing experience. Strong skills in technical drawing interpretation and root cause analysis for product failures. Familiarity with API 682 standards related to mechanical seal design and application. Experience with SAP modules. In-depth knowledge of mechanical seal supply systems and their applications. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with strong interpersonal abilities. Willingness to travel to client sites as necessary.-
