Dealer Development Specialist

LGM Financial Services Inc. is a leading provider of warranty, finance, and insurance services to the Canadian automotive industry. Since 1998, LGM has been successfully supplying quality products and training solutions to Canadian car dealerships. Dealer partnerships are complemented by the strong backing and support of their automotive manufacturing brands, which include BMW/MINI, Kia, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar/Land Rover, Mitsubishi Motors Polestar and Motorrad.
The Role:
As a Dealer Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in increasing LGM's product penetration (sales) within existing and new dealerships. You will utilize LGM's proprietary consultative dealer development process known as Distinction. Your responsibilities will encompass influencing the five key variables: people, training, motivation, tools, and management to develop dealerships and ensure LGM adheres to its OEM, dealer, and partner agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish new business relationships with dealerships through on-site visits.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing dealership clients through regular visits.
- Guide dealers in enhancing their profitability within the Business Office.
- Support dealers in increasing overall dealership productivity and sales.
- Provide comprehensive training and support to dealership personnel on LGM products.
- Deliver exceptional service experiences to all existing and potential clients.
- Collaborate with customers to develop customized Distinction development plans, outlining clear objectives and monitoring progress.
- Provide daily quantifiable reports on the results of your work.
- Ensure OEMs, dealers, and partners have visibility into the outcomes of your activities.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts.
- Actively participate in discussions and initiatives pursued by LGM and the Sales team.
Required Skills:
- Proven ability to sell effectively and ethically.
- Strong understanding of the automotive industry and its dynamics.
- Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Quick learner with a strong aptitude for absorbing product knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education:
- Post-secondary education is an asset.
- Commitment to completing the Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA) program.
- Willingness to obtain necessary licensing programs (as applicable).
Experience:
- Demonstrated track record of exceptional performance and sales success.
- 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry, specifically within finance and insurance (F&I) business offices.
