About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Planning Specialist to join our team at Sedgwick Strategies Inc. As an Event Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing various events and conferences, ensuring seamless execution and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Administer revenues and expenditures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
    • Prepare and present budgets to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Event Planning
    • Promote conference and meeting services or special events to attract clients and attendees.
    • Develop marketing and communication plans to increase event visibility and engagement.
  • Staff Management
    • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers to support event execution.
    • Develop policies and procedures to ensure efficient event management.
  • Logistics and Operations
    • Co-ordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities, ensuring timely execution and attention to detail.
    • Set up and monitor, or arrange for the setting up and monitoring of multi-media equipment to support event delivery.
  • Registration and Scheduling
    • Develop registration systems and information materials to facilitate event attendance.
    • Plan schedules, goals, and objectives to ensure event success.
  • Research and Development
    • Research and design special events programs to meet client needs and expectations.
  • Client Focus
    • Provide exceptional client service, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College/CEGEP degree or equivalent.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in event planning, coordination, or a related field.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in event planning software and tools.
