About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team at Sedgwick Strategies Inc. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and executing conferences, meetings, and special events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer revenues and expenditures for events
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and budgets
  • Promote conference and meeting services or special events
  • Develop marketing and communication plans to increase event attendance
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers as needed
  • Prepare, present, and manage event budgets
  • Develop sponsorship, partnership, or fundraising programs to support events
  • Coordinate and monitor event activities, including set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems, and other details
  • Set up and monitor, or arrange for the setting up and monitoring of multi-media equipment
  • Plan schedules, goals, and objectives for events
  • Develop registration systems and information materials for attendees
  • Research and design special events programs to meet client needs
  • Develop policies and procedures for event management and attend to other management responsibilities
  • Identify human resources requirements for events
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff as needed
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in event planning or a related field
  • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week
  • Fluency in English
